October 2013. Flexon is just five months old. OneSails begins commercializing 4T FORTE: It's the beginning of something unique. The partnership doesn't come from nothing. As Dede De Luca, CEO of OneSails, recounts, the project represents recognition of an innovation journey that began with the network's foundation. Years of research, experimentation, shared vision that preceded Flexon's very foundation. When the company was born, the collaboration was already written in its DNA. 4T FORTE quickly established itself as the new global standard for high-performance sails. In 2014, CSQA certification according to ISO 14040 confirmed that the product's life cycle meets the most rigorous standards.
4T FORTE technology, based on Multi Micro Structure (MMS™), represents the world's first solution for high-performance flexible structural composites designed for recovery and recycling. Produced exclusively by Flexon for OneSails, it eliminates the weak points of traditional laminates: polyester films, adhesives, incompatible materials. In their place: an integrated structure of thermoplastic polymers and high-modulus fibers that guarantees superior lightness (up to 25% less), exceptional strength, and stability over time.
